Factsheets

CAfS has developed the following guidance documents, aimed at those considering low carbon and energy efficiency refurbishment or development including the installation of renewable technologies.

The factsheets provide an introduction to each topic, along with initial planning guidance and local case studies. They were developed in conjunction with the Cumbria Planning Training Service, as guidance for planners to distribute in response to initial enquiries.

The factsheets were developed as part of the North West Climate Change Local Area Support Programme and the European Social Funded Green Ways to Work training project.

Please download them from the links below.

Cumbria Factsheet – Wood fuel

Cumbria Factsheet – Small Scale Wind Power

We have also developed several case study videos from our ‘Renewables in Action’ and ‘Low Carbon Buildings’ site visits. These were run during May 2011 as part of our professional training programme. You can see these on our Case Study webpage.

Further site visits are planned throughout the year as part of our ongoing training programmes. Please see our events page for forthcoming events.
