Cumbria Green Build Festival 2011

60 FREE on-site events demonstrating the best energy efficiency and renewable energy installations in Cumbria

A unique opportunity to visit sites which are which are not normally accessible to the public from improvements in private homes to large scale energy generation. If you are thinking about generating your own power or heat or insulating your home, it’s the chance to talk to someone who has already done it!

The Cumbria Green Build Festival is a fortnight jam packed with events that raise awareness of the opportunities for all of us to create a more sustainable future in Cumbria through the clever use of our buildings, through prudent energy use and low carbon energy generation. The Festival serves to recognise and celebrate the many businesses, services, organizations and products that are based in Cumbria that enable this essential change to happen. Sprinkle in some inspirational thinking and cutting edge architecture, and we hope you’ll enjoy the event as much as you’ll learn from it!

The 2011 Festival will take place across Cumbria between 10th and 25th September.  See the online programme here, or download our leaflet.

We are always looking for sites to showcase. If you are involved in a business, organisation, or have a home that demonstrates sustainability solutions and wish to be part of this year’s Festival, please contact us.We also have several sponsorship opportunities available during the 2011 Festival, providing affordable ways to promote your green building business or service.
